If you're sick of seeing these pants yet, sorry not sorry but they're here to stay. I wear them ALL the time, because they feel like pjs but are so much more fun. Honestly they're all I want to wear, is this turning into a problem? Do I have an addiction to my pants?! Could be worse. Also I've decided it's denim jacket time, aka spring. It's gone from being snowy, cold and white to less chilly, dirty and brown everywhere. Ah spring in Alberta.
Don't mind me just hanging out in front of so pretty cara cotter, not only is their jewelry gorgeous, their store front is too. My hood in Edmonton is getting so many awesome businesses, shops and little eateries, it's amazing. I love seeing this! Nothing better than putting on my fancy pants on and exploring the neighborhood!

Still in Oliver
Monday, February 25, 2019
Since it's been about -20 degrees celcius or colder for almost the entirety of the last 4 weeks we have been avoiding any sort of photos outdoors. But as I ran out of back logged stuff, I knew it was time to get creative. Luckily the Oliver Exchange building in our 'hood is super beautiful, has lovely lighting and some great shops as well.
I dragged Darcy over, got a delicious coffee from the newly opened iconoclast coffee. We perused plum home and design, and peeked in on the progress being made on the grab and go food shop and brewery. I can't wait for those to open! So close to home, and really such a beautiful building. It's great to see so many cool things popping up in edmonton. So this time this Still in Edmonton shirt is less ironic and more yay Edmonton! I love a cute skirt paired with a simple tee, and with my shit kickers (lace up boots) it feels very 90's but also not too 90s. The perfect balance. God I can't wait for it to warm up!!

All Wool Everything
Tuesday, March 7, 2017
So what does one wear when it's -25? A giant wool sweater, matching wool hat and a large oversized wool coat. Also wool socks, but you can't see those here. At least I'm cozy, right? I must say I am getting a little tired of the thick sweaters and being bundled. Soon enough.
Ice Queen

Outfit: Sweater-Garage, Jacket/jeans-Dynamite, Scarf-Winners, Boots-Nine West, Hat-MEC, Sunnies-Red Ribbon, Ring-Vintage and miss boss.
Last weekend we decided to check out the ice castle, it was beautiful, but if I'm being honest, it was overpriced. And there was not a lot in there, just a ton of screaming kids and people taking photos (ahem,...yes myself obviously included). It really did serve as a magical backdrop for these photos though. And it was warm out so getting to be outside always makes me happy.
This blush jacket is my current obsession, I want to wear it all the time, always, with everything. Thankfully the weather has been cooperating and it's been nice enough to wear it. I love the blush tones, grey and blues all together. It's a colour combination that just makes me happy, & isn't that the whole point? Clothes can reflect or change your mood!

Casual Summer

Outfit: Top-F21, Shorts-Dynamite, Purse-Calvin Klein, Rings-Hudsons Bay, Watch-Michael Kors, Necklace-Saraswati Designs, Shoes-Keds
This has basically been my go-to all summer when its hot and humid. Pair of high waisted denim and a loose tank top, so simple and perfect. Anything with an interesting back detail has been drawing my eye this season. I wonder how well that will transition into the cooler months. I am feeling pretty sad that the summer is coming to an end, I`m really not ready to say goodbye to my cut offs and sleeveless tops. Although the idea of cozy sweaters is tantalizing. Give me one more weekend of heat!

Cool Summer

Outfit: Blazer-Dynamite, Tee-Miss Boss, Jeans-Zara, Flats-F21, Bag-thrifted, Rings-The bag, Vintage, Necklace- Stella & Dot and gift in vancouver
This summers weather has been weird. Its rained basically every day since May 15th, some days are hot humid and we get a crazy thundershower while others are cool and almost reminiscent of fall. ITS JULY. Summer, please get your shit together so I can have nice memories of lounging by the pool when its inevitably -30 in 5 months, k thanks.
If you catch me running errands in between clients this is basically what a version of what I wear, ripped jeans, plain tee, sometimes a blazer and flats. I like to swap out my gym wear for street clothes, it makes me feel a bit more together and less like Im still at work. Also, these gyms are super comfy and give me a nice break from the spandex. A good relaxed tee is the staple of any wardrobe and I'm so happy to find a line at Miss Boss that I love, they're incredibly soft and hang just right!

Kimono
Tuesday, July 12, 2016
Outfit: Romper-Forever 21, Shoes-Winners, Kimono-Noul, Bag-Vintage, Rings- Noul, oak and fort and vintage
When its hot and muggy here in the summer it can make getting dressed a little tricky. What I want to be able to do is layer, but usually layers means more clothes and more clothes means more heat. Thats why this little kimono from Noul has been a godsend, its so lightweight and goes with everything. Like this floral romper, also made out of chiffon like material for those hot hot summer nights. Best part of rompers, is they make your legs look so long and at 5 2 I will take full advantage of that! I cant wait to pack this one up for my vacation later this summer.
Outdoor Workout, Round 2
Monday, July 11, 2016
1. Side Plank Dips
Ensure hips are level, can be on one forearm or from hand as in the photo. Extend the other arm overhead or have it resting on hip. Lower hip down and contracting obliques bring hip back up. Repeat 10x per side
2. Plank Taps
plank from hands, ensure you are level from head to toes. Core is tight and glutes are contracting, put weight into one hand and tap opposite shoulder. Try your best not to shift weight between hips, keep them level! Go back and forth between shoulders. 10 taps per side
3. Up downs.
This one is great for the shoulders, start from a high plank position and lower yourself onto your forearms and then back into a high plank position. You can do this from your knees also! 5 per side
4. 1 leg glute bridge.
Laying on your back, 1 leg on the ground close to your bum and squeeze your bum to lift your hips up. Lower back down slow and controlled. 10x per leg.
5. Jumping Jacks.
Ensure that when you're jumping, knees do not fall in. 20x
Repeat this circuit 4-5x, resting 1 minute between sets.
Fit Weekends
Friday, July 8, 2016
The weekends are meant for many things: Brunching, sleeping in, catching up with friends & being active. Weekends are a great time to get out and try those things that you dont have time to do during the week. This weekend why dont you:
1. Run some stairs with friends. Swap out your brunching with friends to stairs with friends! Or stairs then brunch, burn off the eggs bennies before you even get em.
2. Go explore your city via bicycle. There is something so great about getting to see a different side of your city when you see it on bike. Map out your trails and pit stops along the way!
3. Do an outdoor workout. Its summertime might as well enjoy it before its over, there are lots of circuits that dont need any equipment
4. Try something new: Golf, a spin class, an outdoor boot camp, hiking, go rock climbing (we did that last weekend, SO fun).
