1 Skirt 4 ways
There's nothing I love more than a piece of clothing that is versatile. I don't want to waste time on something that I can only wear once, or with one thing. I bought this skirt on a whim last year I think on black friday and it turned out to be a great piece! A black leather skirt is definitely a great staple for any wardrobe, it can easily be dressed up or down.

Fall Favourites
This long sleeve top was a recent purchase after my shopping ban ended. A very simple piece with a bit of a knot in the front, super soft, comfortable, made in the US & designed in Canada. Damn I love it when something hits all my boxes!! It's going to be a great addition to my wardrobe in the next few months.

Fall's A Coming
It's the first week of September and it's basically full-on autumn. The temperatures have really taken a nose dive, although I'm having a hard time letting go of summer I am fully embracing fall fashion. I've had this jacket for 5 years, and I always find myself grabbing it when the temperatures start to dip. The dark purple keeps it a little more interesting!

I saw this zara dress online and was super into the combination of the embroidery, and the polka dot mesh sleeves. There is something ukranian esque about this dress and I guess that is what drew me to it. I have a bit of ukranian in my background and I guess it makes me weak in the knees for anything embroidered. Good thing that's super popular this fall!!
I got this purse for my birthday from Derp (aka, Darcy) and it is the perfect pop of colour. I love the burnt orange/reddish hue. It's nice to have something against the all black, and grey that I seem to be wearing lots of these days.

Ummmm, how is it already September? And for that matter, how is basically fall...the leaves are full on changing. I have to admit I am excited because I like transitional seasons best, but I'm feeling a bit sad at summers passing. I know that in a few months that means parkas, that means scraping off my truck windows at 545am and it means no more bare exposed anything....Sorry if that killed your vibe. But! It also means pumpkin spiced everything, big ass cozy sweaters, blanket scarfs, watching my dog navigate snow is hilarious.
So over the next two months or so get used to seeing this jacket because baby, it's gunna be on repeat. I am all about this colour for fall and winter this year, I would like my entire wardrobe to be black, camel, mustard and pops of burgundy. Yassss, I guess I am excited for summer to be done. Also I finally was forced to replace my old distressed jeans with these ones, which are pretty wonderful. My old ones succumbed to the size of my booty and busted apart in the butt seam. SO glamorous.

There will always be a piece of me that is super drawn to very bright, loud pieces. I do love me some neutrals and they always go well together but every now and then you need a POP. This sweater is filling a void in my fall and winter wardrobe that I didn't know I needed. Majority of my fall sweaters are dark and heavy. But this is so light and bright, I can see myself getting plenty of use of this one.
Also, these new booties are the best because they go with absolutely everything! They're the perfect height not too crazy tall and are incredibly comfortable. I spend my day in runners, so me saying a heel is comfortable means it is.

Its definitely starting to feel more like fall than summer here in YEG, but I am still clinging to at least the idea of warmer weather. Since our summers are too short, I find I do not get nearly enough wear out of my summer wardrobe. Enter in the simply genius idea of throwing a jacket on. WOW, game changer, who knew! Sarcasm aside, having a wide variety of cute coats does help extend the life of my summer wardrobe. Like this low back floral dress, usually pairs well with a biking but add a denim jacket and I was good to go. Tricks of the trade my friend. And since I am on a spend freeze its important to think practically about the pieces in my closet. Every item needs to work 5 different ways! Except my bras, those serve one and only one function....
