Ice Queen

Last weekend we decided to check out the ice castle, it was beautiful, but if I'm being honest, it was overpriced. And there was not a lot in there, just a ton of screaming kids and people taking photos (ahem,...yes myself obviously included). It really did serve as a magical backdrop for these photos though. And it was warm out so getting to be outside always makes me happy.
This blush jacket is my current obsession, I want to wear it all the time, always, with everything. Thankfully the weather has been cooperating and it's been nice enough to wear it. I love the blush tones, grey and blues all together. It's a colour combination that just makes me happy, & isn't that the whole point? Clothes can reflect or change your mood!

Remember when I said I was obsessed with blush tones? I guess this is just a continuation of that full blown obsession, and with such few weeks left in summer I am squeezing every ounce I can out of this. Plus I am totally all over the 60's vibes this piece is giving off. Add a little winged eyeliner, big hair but keeping the jewelry more simple and modern for balance worked perfectly.
I honestly hope our weather smartens up and get's warmed for an indian summer so I can wear this adorable romper a few more times. It is incredibly comfortable and I really love the colour with my summer glow going on.

My Obsession

To say I've become obsessed with blush tones is putting it lightly. They're so damn summery! This purse started the obsession when I picked it up in June, ever since I've aquired Keds in the same shade, nail polish, lip stick, a romper & this dress. I never really notice that I've accumulated that much of the same shade until I see it all together. The heart wants what it want's I guess. Not only is the colour perfect on this dress, it has the best back on it. I guess that would be my second obsession of the the summer, strappy dress and shoes. And this outfit is the culmination of all the things I love!

Romp Around

It's been so humid here lately that the idea of getting dressed is frustrating and makes me sweat. Its hot one minute then there's a torrential down pour the next. What is a girl to do?
Rompers; a girls best friend. They're cute, easy, 1 piece and you look put together while feeling incredibly comfortable. Ah, sweet relief! This one is super light weight, the teeny tiny floral print is very sweet and it has pockets. Now if there's anything I like more than being comfortable it's being comfortable and having pockets in a dress/romper. This piece is definitely going into my luggage for summer vacation.
Also, can you tell I'm having a moment with blush tones? Shoes, and purse. Didn't even do it on purpose. This bag followed me home last week, but it's okay, it was on sale ;)
Mr. Duke was feeling neglected while we took photos, just sitting and staring and crying at me. He's such a suck. But look at that face!
