Smitten Life

 Evidently all I'm wearing these days is black and white, stripes or spots. Ah well at least it all goes together, and you can easily add a pop of color. I found this romper at Beacons Closet and couldn't wait until my trip ended to wear it. I wrote myself a list for things I wanted to find while I was shopping in NYC and I had polka dots, and a black romper on my list. Well this is technically both! Two birds, one stone.
 This outfit feels very much like a throwback to something I would wear when I was a kid, and I kind of love that. It's fun sometimes to recreate a look from our past, I suppose that's why styles are always coming back around. I was not super into the 90s resurgence at first (I'm clearly a 60s go-go girl at heart)  but I'm coming around to it. I'm managing to keep my own style and not getting lost in the trend but dabbling in it.

Brooklyn had some amazing street art, some of the best, it was so cool to wander around looking at all the unique and impressive graffiti. I would recommend walking the brooklyn bridge to head over there but for us it was pouring rain so we didn't get to that. It's okay because I did it the last two times I was there ;)

The best!! I could have spent the whole day here, there is so much to go through at this location. I was super impressed with some of the labels as well, I found a pair of Loeffler Randall flats for $40! I love finding a good deal and I love when vintage and consignment shops have higher end pieces and not just crap quality things for slightly less than in store. We also hit up Cross Roads Trading co, I found the one in midtown way better than the one in Brooklyn though.

 I picked up this striped long sleeve from a swap a few months ago and it has been a staple in my wardrobe since. I am trying to create a more cohesive wardrobe, where everything goes well together and can be easily mixed and matched. I found a few amazing pieces on my trip to New York, and I'm really excited to put them in the mix.
