Bringin' Back the 'momo
In the summer I am a huge fan of kimono's, they keep the sun off my shoulders, add interest to any simple look and are cool and comfortable. This one is a recent acquisition, and I have been patiently awaiting a nice warm day to bust it out. The colour is a perfect pop and the print is Hawaiian shirt esque which makes me happy.
This LBR (little black romper) is a vintage piece I picked up this winter and have been saving as well. You can't pass on the perfect little black romper when you find it even if it's months before appropriate to wear. I have had my eye out for one for yeeeears, this one ticks all my boxes: Comfortable, Simple & POCKETS! Girl loves her some pockets, besides the little lace details along the bottom are too sweet to pass on.
Picnic Ready
Nothing screams summer quite like wearing a picnic table cloth as a romper, amiright?! Gingham has always been a go to summer print in my eyes, and yet I don't own much of it. When I spotted this red and white number recently I knew it was to become a great summer staple. I mean, we all know what I'm wearing Canada Day already...

Summer Sizzle
This fanny pack was also a NYC purchase, I love not having a purse to lug around and just carrying a few things in this. It's perfect for hands free dog walking and date night alike. And of course my denim jacket with everything because that seems to be all I wear during june, july and august. I was really feeling this outfit, and my whole wardrobe too. Which is great because it's been a month and a half of no shopping!

Romp!
This romper is actually 3 years old now, and I am always reaching for it on those super hot summer days. The weather has been more on the unsettled side lately so this soft linen biker jacket has been great to add to my outfits. I was unsure of this purchase, but I've been getting a ton of use out of it. I think when I'm back to shopping I need a good black leather biker jacket like this. They go with everything, and make you feel like a badass.

This Romper is definitely my favourite purchase from my NYC trip back in April, I found this gem at a sample sale. The DVF wrap dress is iconic, and to find it in romper form, in coral was just perfect. It's super lightweight for the summer because of the crepe like material, & I'm surprised this is the first time I've posted it on the blog.
Something this beautiful was perfect for a special occasion...my birthday! I am one of those people who ends up celebrating their birthday for a month (annoying, I know, I can't stop). This was what I wore out with a small group of friends to check out Wishbone which was amazing (have the mussels!)
I am sad to say the last of the birthday festivities has come and gone. It's time to settle in and see what the coming year has to offer.

Patience

I have had my eyes on these shoes from Zara since May, & I guess it's really true that patience is a virtue because a few weeks ago I got them on sale! I really love the trend of really strappy flats and shoes this season and these ones are really perfect. They look great with dresses, distressed denim, skinnies and of course rompers. This one is such a quintessential summer, pastels and floral's, go together like BP and J, amiright?
As sad as I am about summer winding down I am enjoying these summer sales, and praying to the weather gods for them to keep the warm weather around so I can enjoy those purchases! I am not ready for cold, snow and layers quite yet.

Kimono

When its hot and muggy here in the summer it can make getting dressed a little tricky. What I want to be able to do is layer, but usually layers means more clothes and more clothes means more heat. Thats why this little kimono from Noul has been a godsend, its so lightweight and goes with everything. Like this floral romper, also made out of chiffon like material for those hot hot summer nights. Best part of rompers, is they make your legs look so long and at 5 2 I will take full advantage of that! I cant wait to pack this one up for my vacation later this summer.
